Typical Nissan engines

For its diesels Nissan uses Renault engines – M9R (2.0 dCi in the X-Trail), R9M (1.6 dCi in the Qashqai) and R9N (1.7 dCi) – plus its own petrol engines such as the MR16DDT (1.6 DIG-T), MR20DE (2.0) and the 1.3 DIG-T generation. The code is stamped into the engine block and shown on the type plate. Our stock centres on the Qashqai (J11) and X-Trail (T32) from model year 2016 onwards.

Used, reconditioned or new?

For used Nissan engines we state mileage and year where known; every engine is tested before dispatch and comes with a 12-month warranty. Reconditioned engines have been professionally overhauled and tested – also 12 months. New engines with 0 km carry a 24-month warranty. On every engine we charge a core deposit of usually €500, refunded when your old engine is returned. How to find the right Nissan engine

The engine code (e.g. K9K 636 or H4D 480) is on a sticker on the block and on the vehicle type plate; the three-digit variant after it matters.
