Core deposit — how it works

When you buy an engine or gearbox, we charge a core deposit ("Altteilpfand") on top of the item price — usually 500 € for engines and 250 € for gearboxes. The exact amount is always shown on the item and is added to your cart automatically. As soon as we receive your old part back, the deposit is refunded in full.

Why a core deposit?

Your old unit is valuable: it is professionally remanufactured or recycled. That keeps spare parts available and affordable — good for your wallet and for the environment.

How it works

1. Order: the deposit is added to your order automatically in the cart.
2. Delivery: your engine or gearbox arrives by freight carrier on a pallet.
3. Return the old part: hand your equivalent, complete old part to the carrier — easiest on the same pallet. Alternatively, drop it off with us in Nortmoor by arrangement.
4. Refund: after receipt and inspection of the old part we refund the deposit right away.

Important for the refund

• The old part must be equivalent (same engine or gearbox type).
• The old part must be complete (no missing components).
