Typical Skoda engines

Skoda uses Volkswagen Group engines: EA211 TSI petrol engines (1.0, 1.2, 1.4 and 1.5 TSI) in Fabia, Scala, Octavia, Karoq and Kodiaq, and 1.6 and 2.0 TDI in Octavia, Superb, Karoq and Kodiaq. The engine code letters are identical to VW, Audi and Seat – an engine with the same code letters from a Golf or Passat therefore also fits an Octavia or Superb. Ancillaries such as intake manifold, exhaust manifold and engine mounts can differ between models.

Used, reconditioned or new?

For used Skoda engines we state mileage and year where known; every engine is tested before dispatch and comes with a 12-month warranty. Reconditioned engines have been professionally overhauled and tested – also 12 months. New engines with 0 km carry a 24-month warranty. On every engine we charge a core deposit of usually €500, refunded when your old engine is returned. How to find the right Skoda engine

The engine code letters (three letters, e.g. CHZ or DAU) are on the data sticker in the service book or in the spare-wheel well, and stamped into the engine block.
