When replacement is needed

The catalytic converter converts carbon monoxide, hydrocarbons and nitrogen oxides; on diesels it is often housed together with the particulate filter. Failures result from ageing, crumbled ceramic after misfires, overheating with a rich mixture or mechanical damage – recognisable by the check-engine light (P0420, P0430), rattling in the exhaust or a failed emissions test. A used original catalytic converter is usually far cheaper than a new part and carries the original type approval. Compare the stamped OE number and the flange shape.

Used or new?

Almost all catalytic converters in our stock are used original parts – tested, with mileage stated where known, and covered by a 12-month warranty. New parts (0 km, usually genuine stock) carry a 24-month warranty. The condition is stated on every item. We do not charge a core deposit on spare parts – that applies only to engines and gearboxes.

How to find the right part

What matters is the OE number (original part number) on your old part – cast in, stamped or on the label. Enter it in the search box above or compare it with the number in our product title; we also list equivalent numbers from other manufacturers (Bosch, Denso, Valeo, Pierburg …) where known. Used or new – what do I get?

The condition is stated on every item. "Used" is a tested original part from our stock with a 12-month warranty, "New" a part with 0 km and a 24-month warranty.

Is there a core deposit on spare parts?

No. We charge a core deposit only on engines and gearboxes. Spare parts are paid at the stated price; you can keep or dispose of the old part.

How is it delivered?

Securely packed as a parcel, or you collect the part in Nortmoor (Germany). Large parts such as cylinder heads or catalytic converters are packed accordingly.
