When replacement is needed

The engine control unit (ECU) controls injection, ignition, boost pressure and exhaust after-treatment. Failures result from water ingress, overvoltage, corrosion at the connectors or internal faults – the engine will not start, runs in limp mode or shows communication errors. A used original control unit by Bosch, Continental/Siemens, Delphi or Denso is a cost-effective alternative; note, however, that it usually has to be adapted to the vehicle (immobiliser, coding, cloning the software). Compare manufacturer number, OE number and hardware/software version on the label.

Used or new?

Almost all engine control units in our stock are used original parts – tested, with mileage stated where known, and covered by a 12-month warranty. New parts (0 km, usually genuine stock) carry a 24-month warranty. The condition is stated on every item. We do not charge a core deposit on spare parts – that applies only to engines and gearboxes.

How to find the right part

What matters is the OE number (original part number) on your old part – cast in, stamped or on the label. Enter it in the search box above or compare it with the number in our product title; we also list equivalent numbers from other manufacturers (Bosch, Denso, Valeo, Pierburg …) where known. If in doubt, send us your VIN and we will check which part fits.
