When replacement is needed
The oil filter housing holds the filter element and on many engines also contains the oil cooler, oil pressure switch and thermostat. Plastic housings (e.g. BMW N47/B47, Mercedes M271, VW 1.4 TSI) become brittle and leak, gaskets to the block age, cooler fins corrode – visible as oil loss at the block, oil in the coolant or vice versa. A used original housing with cooler is the economical solution; renew all gaskets when fitting. Compare the cast-in OE number and whether the oil cooler is included.
Used or new?
Almost all oil filter housings in our stock are used original parts – tested, with mileage stated where known, and covered by a 12-month warranty. New parts (0 km, usually genuine stock) carry a 24-month warranty. The condition is stated on every item. We do not charge a core deposit on spare parts – that applies only to engines and gearboxes.
How to find the right part
What matters is the OE number (original part number) on your old part – cast in, stamped or on the label. Enter it in the search box above or compare it with the number in our product title; we also list equivalent numbers from other manufacturers (Bosch, Denso, Valeo, Pierburg …) where known. The condition is stated on every item. "Used" is a tested original part from our stock with a 12-month warranty, "New" a part with 0 km and a 24-month warranty.
Is there a core deposit on spare parts?
No. We charge a core deposit only on engines and gearboxes. Spare parts are paid at the stated price; you can keep or dispose of the old part.
How is it delivered?
Securely packed as a parcel, or you collect the part in Nortmoor (Germany). Large parts such as cylinder heads or catalytic converters are packed accordingly.
