Typical Opel gearboxes

Opel gearboxes split into the GM and PSA generations. For Astra J/K, Zafira Tourer, Mokka, Insignia A and Corsa D/E these are the manual gearboxes M32 (6-speed, our most common Opel gearbox), F17 and F13 (5-speed), M20 and M22, plus the AF40 (Aisin) and 6T40 automatics. Vivaro and Movano use the Renault PF6 6-speed gearboxes. Since the move to PSA (Corsa F, Grandland, Combo, Vivaro C) the French gearboxes such as BE4, MB6 and EAT8 have joined the range. The M32 is a classic because of its well-known bearing problems – we stock it used and reconditioned.

Used, reconditioned or new?

For used Opel gearboxes we state mileage and year where known; every gearbox is tested before dispatch and comes with a 12-month warranty. Reconditioned gearboxes have been professionally overhauled and tested – also 12 months. New gearboxes carry a 24-month warranty. How to find the right Opel gearbox
