When replacement is needed

The valve cover closes off the valve train and on many engines carries the crankcase ventilation, ignition coil mounts or camshaft sensors. Plastic covers warp and leak, the integrated breather diaphragm tears (typical on VW 1.8/2.0 TSI, BMW N20/N47) – the result is oil loss onto the manifold, whistling noises, high idle and oil consumption. A used original cover is much cheaper than a new part. Compare engine code and cast-in OE number as well as the position of the connections.

Used or new?

Almost all valve covers in our stock are used original parts – tested, with mileage stated where known, and covered by a 12-month warranty. New parts (0 km, usually genuine stock) carry a 24-month warranty. The condition is stated on every item. We do not charge a core deposit on spare parts – that applies only to engines and gearboxes.

How to find the right part

What matters is the OE number (original part number) on your old part – cast in, stamped or on the label. The condition is stated on every item. "Used" is a tested original part from our stock with a 12-month warranty, "New" a part with 0 km and a 24-month warranty.

Is there a core deposit on spare parts?

No. We charge a core deposit only on engines and gearboxes. Spare parts are paid at the stated price; you can keep or dispose of the old part.

How is it delivered?

Securely packed as a parcel, or you collect the part in Nortmoor (Germany). Large parts such as cylinder heads or catalytic converters are packed accordingly.
