When replacement is needed
The cylinder head carries valves, camshafts and injection; it is the most expensive single part after the block. Overheating after coolant loss leads to warped sealing faces, cracks between the valve seats or a blown head gasket – recognisable by white smoke, coolant loss without a visible leak, oil in the coolant or bubbles in the expansion tank. A used original cylinder head with low mileage is usually much cheaper than repair or a new part; we supply it complete with valves and camshafts where stated. Have the sealing face skimmed when fitting and use new head bolts. Compare engine code and the cast-in OE number.
Used or new?
Almost all cylinder heads in our stock are used original parts – tested, with mileage stated where known, and covered by a 12-month warranty. New parts (0 km, usually genuine stock) carry a 24-month warranty. The condition is stated on every item. We do not charge a core deposit on spare parts – that applies only to engines and gearboxes.
How to find the right part
What matters is the OE number (original part number) on your old part – cast in, stamped or on the label. Enter it in the search box above or compare it with the number in our product title; we also list equivalent numbers from other manufacturers (Bosch, Denso, Valeo, Pierburg …) where known. If in doubt, send us your VIN and we will check which part fits.
Frequently asked questions: cylinder heads
Will the part fit my car?
If the OE number matches, yes. Many parts come in several variants depending on model year, engine and power level – which is why we compare number by number. If in doubt, send us your VIN and we will check for you.
Used or new – what do I get?
The condition is stated on every item. "Used" is a tested original part from our stock with a 12-month warranty, "New" a part with 0 km and a 24-month warranty.
Is there a core deposit on spare parts?
No. We charge a core deposit only on engines and gearboxes. Spare parts are paid at the stated price; you can keep or dispose of the old part.
How is it delivered?
Securely packed as a parcel, or you collect the part in Nortmoor (Germany). Large parts such as cylinder heads or catalytic converters are packed accordingly.
