Typical Renault engines

Renault engines carry a code of letter, number and letter plus a three-digit variant: K9K stands for the 1.5 dCi, R9M for the 1.6 dCi, M9R for the 2.0 dCi (Trafic, Espace, Koleos), M9T for the 2.3 dCi in the Master. Among the petrol engines the small turbos now dominate: H4D (1.0 SCe and TCe), H5H (1.3 TCe) and the older H5F (1.2 TCe). The variant after the code – e.g. H4D 480 or M9R 714 – distinguishes power levels, emissions standard and ancillaries and should match your vehicle. Used, reconditioned or new?

For used Renault engines we state mileage and year where known; every engine is tested before dispatch and comes with a 12-month warranty. Reconditioned engines have been professionally overhauled and tested – also 12 months. New engines with 0 km carry a 24-month warranty. On every engine we charge a core deposit of usually €500, refunded when your old engine is returned. How to find the right Renault engine

The engine code (e.g. K9K 636 or H4D 480) is on a sticker on the block and on the vehicle type plate; the three-digit variant after it matters.
