Seat gearboxes by gearbox code
Every gearbox is listed with its gearbox code or part number. These Seat codes are currently in stock – click one to see all matching gearboxes:
Typical Seat gearboxes
Seat gearboxes come from the Volkswagen modular kit: DSG DQ200 (0AM, 7-speed dry clutch – Ibiza, Leon, Arona), DQ250 (02E) and DQ381 (0GC, 7-speed wet clutch – Leon Cupra, Ateca, Formentor), plus the MQ200 (5-speed) and MQ250/MQ350 (6-speed) manuals with code letters such as MZN, LED or MGR. Code letters and data sticker work as with VW – a gearbox with the same code from a Polo or Golf also fits an Ibiza or Leon. On the DSG: DQ381 gearbox.
Used, reconditioned or new?
For used Seat gearboxes we state mileage and year where known; every gearbox is tested before dispatch and comes with a 12-month warranty. Reconditioned gearboxes have been professionally overhauled and tested – also 12 months. New gearboxes carry a 24-month warranty. On gearboxes we charge a core deposit of usually €250, refunded when your old gearbox is returned – see Core deposit explained.
How to find the right Seat gearbox
The gearbox code letters (three letters, e.g. NHW or SSP) are on the data sticker in the service book or in the spare-wheel well, and stamped into the gearbox housing. Compare the code with the one in our product title – or send us your VIN and we will check which gearbox fits. For DSG and automatic gearboxes see also DSG gearbox problems.
Frequently asked questions about Seat gearboxes
How much does a Seat replacement gearbox cost?
The price is shown on each gearbox and depends on type, mileage and condition. A core deposit (usually €250) is added and refunded once we receive your old gearbox.
Will the gearbox fit my car?
If the gearbox code or part number matches, yes – the code defines ratios, control unit and connections. If in doubt, send us your VIN and we will check which Seat gearbox fits.
Does an automatic or DSG gearbox need to be coded?
Yes. After fitting a dual-clutch or automatic gearbox the workshop has to adapt the control unit to the vehicle (adaptation / basic setting). Allow for this when planning the swap.
What warranty do Seat gearboxes come with?
12 months on used and reconditioned gearboxes, 24 months on new ones – no mileage limit, provided the gearbox is fitted professionally by a workshop. Shipped securely packed by freight carrier, or collected in Nortmoor by arrangement.
